The specialists of the far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and the Institute of chemistry, far East branch (DVO) of the Academy of Sciences learned in new ways to purify water from radioactive waste. On Monday, June 8, reports TASS.
Russian scientists have proposed to use water-purification technology, based on a synthesis of the sorbent on the basis of the composite powder of “tungsten bronze”. As planned, this sorbent can be used as a filler in-line filters or add it to contaminated water. After the operation the material will be sintering into high-density ceramics and sent to safe disposal.
As expected, the new technology will help with water purification from radionuclides of cesium and strontium, and also with the processing of liquid radioactive waste. In particular, the application of such sorbents will be technological disasters.
The increase in the number of domestic developments and patents for inventions is provided by the national project “Science”, which should be implemented in Russia to 2024. Only its implementation is planned to more than 625 billion rubles. He also suggests the creation of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, commissioning research facilities class “magicians” and the formation of an integrated system of training scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel.
