In the Pskov region in 2020 will appear three times more citizens involved in the field of business, through participation in the national project “Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and support of individual business initiative”. On Tuesday, June 9, told TASS the Chairman of the Committee on economic development and investment policy of the region Andrey Mikheev.
He explained that the increase in the number of such citizens is important for the region because the regional budget is scarce, and the growth of SMEs leads to an increase in the number of jobs and income to the Treasury. In this regard, was developed a project “Promoting entrepreneurship” in the framework of the national project.
“The business sector will join more than 300 of our citizens. This will be achieved by opening new business projects, as well as through expansion of existing SMEs, allocating financial support for the development, including assisting them in signing export contracts,” — said Mikheyev.
Today in the region the SME sector employs about 130 people.
Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
