The people of Greece, most of Europe was in financial hardship due to the effects of the pandemic coronavirus. This writes Bloomberg citing a survey by the Swedish company Intrum AB.
Also one of the most impoverished countries were named Romania. In Scandinavia the negative effects of the crisis least affected the standard of living.
A third of all respondents believe that their financial wellbeing will decline in the next six months, only 23 percent of respondents expect improvement of the situation. More than half (54 percent) reported lower revenues and a third of respondents have become more cautious with spending. Every fifth citizen of Europe started to live in debt to cover daily expenses.
The survey was conducted in may with the participation of 4800 people from 24 European countries.
Earlier it was reported that the world economy in 2020 will be reduced by 5.2 percent, expected the worst downturn since the Second world war. A third of the population of the Earth will be under threat of job loss. Revenue losses can reach 3.4 trillion dollars and the unemployment rate exceeds 17 percent.
