In the Udmurt Republic began the elimination of dumps, removed almost 200 tons of garbage. This was reported on the website of the government of the region.
The garbage is picked up by a regional operator for waste management in cooperation with the district administrations. Already eliminated eight landfills. Major works on their liquidation will begin in mid-June. We are talking about 50 landfills in 15 areas, they will be removed at the expense of the national project “Ecology”. It is noted that for these purposes is allocated more than 37 million rubles.
Also in the region are liquidated more than 80 illegal dumps in ravines and forests. They will be brought to the official landfills.
In January of 2019 in Russia was launched reform of the waste management sector, the objectives of which is to solve the problem of illegal landfills and reduce the amount of accumulated waste. Its main indicators are defined by the passport of the national project “Ecology”.
