President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to arrange auditing of private companies, where they fire people that don’t support alternative presidential candidates, BelTA has learned.

According to him, the last time Belarusians complaints that they fired because of the election campaign. “Moreover, lay people off — those who didn’t give a signature for the so-called alternative candidates: you are there for Petrova, Sidorova didn’t sign — go away,” protested Lukashenko layoffs of their constituents.

He instructed the head of administration and Manager of Affairs of the President Igor Sergeenko and Viktor Sheiman and Chairman of the upper chamber of Parliament Natalia Kochanova to develop a system of inspections of private companies to study the matter.

“Publicly I want to say: if they want Belarus to work decently and give the benefit of the country, not hurting people, they should restore these people or pay them for three, two or one month — for being thrown out unnecessarily,” — said Lukashenko.

Presidential elections in Belarus scheduled for 9 August. Across the country rallies to collect signatures in support of alternative candidates. Often ended in scuffles and arrests.
