Lomonosov Moscow state University took the 74th place in the ranking of the best universities in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds. This was reported on the official website.
Last year Moscow University was on the 84th place. Since 2014 the UNIVERSITY has risen in the list of 46 points and entered the top 75 in the world.
The second Russian school was St. Petersburg state University (SPBSU). He took the 225-th place in the global rating. It is followed by Novosibirsk state University (228-th place), Tomsk state University (250-second place) and Moscow Institute of physics and technology (MIPT) (281-th place).
Best universities in the world was named as the Massachusetts Institute of technology, Stanford University and Harvard University.
Previously, MSU was also named the most influential Russian University according to the rating Agency RAEX. In addition to MSU in the top five were St. Petersburg state University, national research University “Higher school of Economics” (HSE), MIPT and Russian Academy of national economy and public administration under the President of Russia (Ranepa).
