Russian Railways intend to stimulate the demand of passengers for train travel in Russia after the pandemic coronavirus and announced discounts on tickets. On Wednesday, June 10, RIA Novosti reported the press service of the organization.
“We plan to continue to develop its customer services, loyalty program “Russian Railways Bonus”, and also to arrange a variety of events and discount ticket”, — explained in the company, and expressed the hope that the desire to travel among the Russians “will be stronger than the possible fears and doubts”.
According to the survey of the carrier, 88 percent of passengers are willing to go anywhere on the train immediately after the removal of the restrictive measures imposed amid the outbreak of the disease. Of these, 43 percent have connected the trip with personal goals and visits to friends and relatives, 28 per cent and 17 per cent from tourism.
14 may it was reported that the Railways are once again allowed passengers to purchase tickets for trains on some directions in advance. Now, travelers can book a trip 90 days prior to departure.
