Moscow doctors saved tens of thousands of patients with the coronavirus, including about 65 thousand seriously ill. This was announced by Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin, RIA Novosti reported.
He said that many were seriously ill in intensive care, they were provided with ventilation system. “It’s a huge, enormous work. Health workers tirelessly all day and night, not sparing their health and sometimes life, fought to save the townspeople. This is a huge victory,” said the mayor.
According to him, in the Moscow hospitals there was no shortage of beds in intensive care. “Moreover, we in the preparatory, at the initial stages of outpatient care was excluded a huge number of people, helping them, and they did not reach the serious condition”, — concluded the mayor.
Earlier, on 10 June, he said that the exit of isolation in Moscow has suffered three months of austerity measures. At the same time to return to normal life, he said, the city will be able to in about two months.
For the last day in Moscow has revealed 1195 new cases of infection with coronavirus. The total number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic exceeded 199 thousand.
