Export sales of Russian oil in April fell by more than twice compared to the same period last year, follows from the data of the Federal customs service (FCS) published on its website.

In April, the revenue of Russian companies from the export of crude oil amounted to 4.4 billion dollars. Compared with March it dropped nearly 40 percent.

The physical volume delivered overseas oil in April, by contrast, rose by five percent to 21.8 million tons. The decrease is explained by the sharp drop in world oil prices after the March cancellation of the transaction by OPEC+.

According to the Finance Ministry, the average price of a barrel of Urals crude oil in April 2020 18.2 dollars, which is 3.9 times less than last year.

Revenue from petroleum exports in April decreased 1.8 times to $ 3.1 billion. The physical volume of exports decreased by 5.5 per cent to 10.9 million tonnes.
