The Russian government plans to consider the possibility of expanding the program of preferential mortgage at 6.5 percent per annum. This was stated by first Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov during the meeting with representatives of the organization “Business Russia”, dedicated to the finalization of the national plan of economic recovery, reports TASS.
During the meeting, President of “National Agency of low and cottage building” Elena Nikolaeva noted that in the present preferential mortgage are unable to citizens wishing to purchase housing in the objects of unassessed construction, that is built of mutual funds or groups of private individuals. It also suggested extended the program until January 1, 2022-th. The maximum loan amount under the program, on the idea Nikolaeva, should be increased to 12 million rubles in Moscow and St.-Petersburg and to 6 million in other regions.
Belousov promised to “work through these issues.” “The program, as we have seen, has been quite successful. Thank you very much for pay attention,” he said. In turn, the Deputy Minister of economic development Polina Kryuchkova, who also participated in the event, said that the issue of the proliferation of preferential mortgage not only on the construction of equity has been worked out.
Mortgage at 6.5 percent per annum, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced April 16. A few days later, Russian banks have launched appropriate credit products. Within the grace program, you can get a loan to buy an apartment in the building at 6.5 percent per annum. Reduced rate is valid for the whole crediting period. The maximum mortgage amount is limited: in Moscow and St.-Petersburg it is 8 million rubles, in other regions of Russia — 3 million rubles. The deadline for the program is November 1, 2020.
