The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that he had offered the former leader of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili to become his adviser on reforms, but he refused, saying that it was “not his level”. He told about it in interview to “the Ukrainian truth”.
“We met with Mikhail Nikolozovich, he said, “I want to help.” There were several meetings, several times he came with different tips that is adequate. He asked: “Where do you see me?” And I said to him, “I want you guys thought I saw your status”. I suggested to him: “you Can come to me Advisor on reforms.” He says: “It is not my level”,” — said Zelensky.
He added that Saakashvili proposed his candidacy for the post of Vice-Prime Minister for reform. According to Zelensky, he promised to discuss the matter with the Prime Minister Denis Megalam.
At the end of April it became known that Zelensky invited Saakashvili to take the post of Deputy Prime Minister for reform. Later it was reported that his candidacy did not have enough votes in the Verkhovna Rada. In the end, the former Georgian President and ex-Governor of Odessa region was headed by the Executive Committee of the National Council of reforms.
