The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has written an article about the events connected with the Second world war. This was told by the TASS press-Secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.
“Yes, the President wrote an article,” said he, answering the relevant question. However, according to Peskov, the decision on publication will take Putin himself.
In may, the Sands reported that the publication of the President will depend on the date of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
About plans to write an article about the Second world war on the basis of archival documents of the war years, the Russian leader said in December last year. Recently, the President in his public speeches, has paid considerable attention to these events, including the so-called Munich agreement.
Vladimir Putin is not the first time writes about the Second world war. In 2009, as Prime Minister, he wrote an article for a Polish newspaper, which urged not to consider the Molotov — Ribbentrop Pact, the only “trigger” of world war II. According to Putin, a similar role was played by the Munich agreement of 1938. In 2011 he wrote an article for the American magazine World War II, describing the joint work of Russian, German and Polish historians over the study of the events of the Second world war. He also advised the Americans are certain books about the war.
