To create a “normal” vaccine against the coronavirus will need a year or two, but soon we can expect a second wave of disease. This “parliamentary newspaper” said academician of RAS, Director of the Center for immunology and molecular Biomedicine, Moscow state University Professor Mikhail Paltsev.

He noted that every epidemic, and especially the pandemic lasts from one year to three years. Thus, in his opinion, should not rely on vaccination and natural immunity of the population. The scientist encouraged the Russians to fill the deficiency of vitamin D3, omega-3 and zinc compounds that affect the immune system.

The Professor explained that the virus can constantly mutate, and may appear more aggressive forms. In particular, the mutation occurs not in the virus RNA and its protein receptor. “If the vaccine is prepared by protein receptors, then as soon as they change, the drug will cease to operate,” said Fingers.

According to the world health organization, the world are prepared about 35 possible vaccines. “If the vaccine is prepared by protein receptors, then as soon as they change, the drug will cease to operate”, — said the academician.

Finger added that now experts are discussing the possibility to create a vaccine against the RNA that it worked on the basis of the coronavirus. On average, this entire process takes at least a year, will require many stages of testing.

Earlier, the Professor-virologist nits of epidemiology and Microbiology named Gamalei Anatoly Altstein advised citizens to prepare for the second wave of coronavirus and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
