Jewish Museum and tolerance center has terminated the relationship with the contractor, which has published the vacancy of bartender, “Slavic appearance”. This is an open letter posted on the website of the institution, wrote CEO Alexander Beard.
“I am inclined to treat it as a rather open provocation than a real request. Any decent, sane person ads of this kind, which, unfortunately, occur in different spheres, cause a sharp negative reaction, and even revulsion”, — he stressed.
According to the Director, references to companies in the ad looks “improbable absurd” and not only goes against the beliefs of the Jewish Museum, but is what the organization for almost eight years counteracts.
Beard added that this incident showed the necessity of the work tolerance Center, and educational programs on corporate ethics and are addressed to adults.
Informed PR-the Director of the center Nina Dymshits explained what happened a lack of understanding or initiative on the part of the subcontractor. According to her, the Museum would never have placed such ads.
Vacancy bartender was posted on the portal Restojob, but it was later removed. It was noted that will only fit people of Slavic appearance with the citizenship of Russia.
