All five Vice-chief editor of the newspaper “Vedomosti” announced his retirement in protest against the appointment of the editor-in-chief Andrew Shmarova. This was reported on the newspaper’s website.

They noted that the new owner of “Vedomosti”, the founder of the “FederalPress” Ivan Eremin, “said many of the right words about adherence to the standards” of the newspaper. “But it was his casting vote led to the appointment of editor-in-chief of the person who proved the inconsistency of these standards”, — said the departed the magazine’s staff.
