Popular singer Beyonce called to investigate the death of a black girl Breanna Taylor (Breonna Taylor), killed the city police this spring. The corresponding letter is sent to the General Prosecutor of the U.S. state of Kentucky Daniel Cameron, writes CNN.
The actress called upon to bring charges against three police officers who killed the girl in her house. “It’s been three months and no arrests had been, and not one single officer was sacked,” writes beyoncé.
She asked for transparency in murder investigation and prosecution, as well as “to stop the widespread practice, which leads to the deaths of unarmed black citizens.”
26-year-old employee of an ambulance Brianna Taylor was killed by police who shot the girl eight times after the break-in to her house in Louisville, Kentucky. Police carried out the arrest of residents of the neighboring home on suspicion of drug trafficking and they had a tip that drugs can be stored in the house of Taylor. The family of the murdered girl filed a lawsuit about the illegal actions of police officers who have not been punished. In may, hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Louisville, calling for justice for the murder of the girl. In June, American rapper Kanye West donated money to the family of Taylor.
Now in dozens of U.S. cities held mass protests accompanied by riots and clashes with police after the death of a black George Floyd. In some States, they turned into riots, pogroms, looting, shooting and arson. The protesters are blaming the police and racist prejudices in society.
