Producer Joseph Prigogine explained the decision of the Uruguayan singer Natalia Oreiro to receive Russian citizenship. Reports radio station “Moscow speaking”.
According to the entertainer, there is special tax status for artists. In addition, he believes that foreign artists are attracted less cynical attitude towards them, as well as hospitality.
“After all we still there is the sentimentality of the past in some people,” — said Prigogine. He added that, despite the “not very good” climatic conditions in Moscow, many athletes and musicians find in this city calm.
Earlier on 15 June it became known that Oreiro decided to get Russian citizenship. This desire came from the singer after visiting the show “Evening Urgant”. “He [Ivan Urgant] I was told that I was the most Russian among foreign women. I told him that I have no doubt. And I said that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin would have to give me citizenship. I said it as a joke, not as a request, make it happen”, she admitted. Oreiro said that already applied for citizenship.
