Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in future the rent of housing in the country will fall behind the monthly payment on a mortgage at 6.5 percent. The head of state spoke during the meeting about the measures taken to support the economy and social sphere, RIA Novosti reported.
The representative of the construction industry said that due to the reduced mortgage payment home loan is less than the cost of renting a similar housing, and also reported an increase in demand for this product. “I think the lease rate is too low to crawl, how in those circumstances you just mentioned,” said the President.
Earlier it became known that the Russian government is considering the expansion of preferential mortgage at 6.5 percent per annum. It proposed to extend until January 1, 2022, and to increase the size of the loan: up to 12 million rubles in Moscow and St.-Petersburg and to 6 million in other regions.
