Russian state Corporation “Roskosmos” decided to press another state Corporation — rostec is from the position of the main supplier of equipment for artificial lung ventilation (ALV), which are used for the treatment of patients with coronavirus. This writes the Telegram-channel Baza.
The Izhevsk motozavod “Aksion-holding” associated with “Roskosmos”, has received a license to manufacture medical ventilators. Capacities of the enterprise allow him to produce 10 thousand units per year, and the first batch will be ready by July. In may, the representative of the United rocket and space Corporation, a member of the “Roskosmos”, has sent the government a letter asking to consider purchasing a ventilator at the Izhevsk plant.
“Coming on the market a ventilator, “Roskosmos” [headed by Dmitry Rogozin] intrudes on the field of “Rostec”, headed by Sergei Chemezov,” writes Baza. The fact that previously owned Rostec “Concern radio-electronic technologies” (KRET) was appointed the sole supplier of the ventilator for industry and trade (the Ministry distributes the devices to hospitals). However, in may the company was at the center of a scandal after a difference of four days in hospitals in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg caught fire two of the ventilator, produced at the Ural instrument plant. Sources in the emergency services reported that the cause of the fire in Moscow was the fault of the ventilator. The Governor of Petersburg Alexander Beglov has also stated that the cause of the fire was a failure in the ventilator.
In the structures of the Roscosmos, meanwhile, said that direct competition with Rostec on the market, the ventilator will not, because Izhevsk factory produces stationary and mobile devices intended for use in ambulances. However, the CONCERN previously announced plans to manufacture its own mobile devices. Completion of factory tests of mechanical ventilation and the start of serial production was scheduled for spring 2020.
