In Russia want to accelerate the process of digitalization of the electricity industry. Such a proposal is the Ministry of energy of the country, said Deputy Minister Yury Manevich. His words leads TASS.
As noted by the Deputy Minister, the high level of development of remote service has already helped the electricity system to pass the peak of the epidemic of the coronavirus. Further, he said, the pace of work in this direction it is necessary to increase even more.
“Today, we understand there is no alternative way, as the accelerating digital transformation of the electric power industry,” explained Manevich.
According to him, within the framework of digitalization, in particular, will create an intelligent system of accounting, introduction of which will reduce electricity losses and operating costs of energy companies. Also due to this, in Russia will be provided with the ability to remotely collect readings.
The digitalization of different sectors of the Russian economy provided by the national project “Digital economy”. Only its implementation is planned to allocate more than 1.8 trillion rubles. In particular, the project involves the increase of internal costs for the development of the digital economy at the expense of all sources, the creation of sustainable and secure information and telecommunications infrastructure for high speed transmission, processing and storage of large amounts of data, as well as the transfer of government agencies and organizations to use mainly software developed in Russia.
