In the first quarter of 2020 the average cost of smartphones of the brand (ASP) increased to 292 dollars. According to analysts, this is the highest indicator over the past six years. Strategic Analytics noted that in 2019, the ASP was $ 247 dollars, and in 2018 — $ 251, in 2017 — 243 USD. A record price of Samsung smartphones was registered in 2014, when the average price of the devices was $ 297 dollars.
According to the report, the increase in ASP during the first quarter of 2020 was 20.7 percent compared to the same period last year. According to experts, the rise in price caused by high demand for foldable flagship smartphones. Directly to the increase in ASP was affected by entry of the top devices Galaxy S20 and clamshell Galaxy Z Flip.
