The EU will soon agree on a list of third countries, which from 1 July will open their borders, but Russia is very likely that the list will not get. This was reported on the portal of the Association of tour operators of Russia.
Predicts that Europe is going to refuse the lifting of entry restrictions for Russians, as the number of new infections COVID-19 in Russia is still high. In addition, the country will not be able to comply with the principles of reciprocity — the timing of the opening of the Russian borders remain unclear.
So, in the list, according to the recommendations of the European Commission, can be Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Northern Macedonia and Serbia — “the epidemiological situation in these States is similar to or better than in the EU.”
While the EC believes that borders within the Schengen area must be opened June 15, external — to be closed by June 30.
On 14 June it was reported that Spanish authorities decided to open the borders to tourists from the Schengen area from 21 June. The government will remove restrictions for all countries of the European Union, except Portugal, the boundaries of which will only open on 1 July. In addition, it is planned to abolish all quarantine measures for the arriving travelers.
