The head of the parliamentary Committee on foreign policy and Deputy head of the delegation of Ukraine in the Tripartite contact group (TAG) Oleksandr Merezhko said that the Minsk agreement are Advisory in nature. This was stated by the representative of Russia in the TAG Boris Gryzlov, reports IA REGNUM.

According to him, representatives of Ukraine refused to consider binding agreements on settlement of the armed conflict in the Donbass. “Such a statement in the negotiation process was done for the first time,” — said Gryzlov.

He added that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to destroy the negotiation process. “The question arises — on what basis Kyiv worked for five years. New people came who started complaining about the Advisory nature of the Minsk agreements, to deny the legal basis of the agreements and thereby undermine the work of their predecessors”, — the politician believes.

Gryzlov added that if this is indeed the official position of Ukraine, it leads to the “freezing” of the conflict.

14 June Minister for foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that the Minsk agreement on the Donbas is not dead, but kept on one ventilator. Earlier, the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said that the withdrawal of year results on the Donbass, and promised to leave Minsk agreements if during this period of the “Norman format” (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine) will not bring results.
