The majority of Russian regions are ready to receive domestic tourists in a pandemic coronavirus. This assessment in an interview with the Agency “Moscow” has given the Vice-President of the Russian Union of travel industry (PCT) Yuri Barzykin.
“For more than half of our regions are ready to receive tourists, not only motels, and other accommodation facilities”, — said the representative of the organization.
Barzykin also said that depending on the epidemiological situation in different parts of the country introduced a variety of restrictions, however, it is projected that from 1 July for domestic travel will be available to 70 percent of the Russian regions.
On 9 June it was reported that one in four Russians after the lifting of restrictions due to coronavirus plans to go on holiday to domestic resorts. The most popular destination of domestic tourism was the Crimea, some are going to spend a holiday in the Krasnodar region, as well as in natural zones of Siberia — in Altai and Baikal.
“Safe and controlled” run of domestic tourism in Russia was held in early June. In the first stage, open the sanatorium with the medical license. Also, the authorities are developing rules to open further hotels, beaches, resorts, cruises and other components of the tourism industry. Full the tourist season will open in Russia on July 1.
