The price of Russian gas supplies to Poland in 2017 should be higher, and for good reason. Thus an Addendum to the contract of purchase and sale with the Polish PGNiG, signed, commented in “Gazprom export”, reports TASS.

A company representative stressed that together with “Gazprom” they will not leave the hope to appeal the decision of the Stockholm arbitration, which concerns the revision of the contract with Poland from 2014.

Yesterday, 15 June, PGNiG said that in the supplementary agreement were approved the rules of application of the formula of gas prices from 2014, as well as the terms of the settlement, which must occur after all calculations. The Russian side agreed to pay until July 1, 2020.

The court ruled that “Gazprom” overestimated the cost of supplies and ordered him to pay Poland a fine in the amount of $ 1.5 billion. The Russian company made this decision and started issuing corrected invoices.

However, the representatives of “Gazprom” spoke about the final decision of the arbitration court for the district of Svea. Poland emphasizes that this appeal can change the verdict.

Warsaw refuses to renew a gas contract with Russia after current in 2022. Republic intends to provide for their needs through liquefied natural gas (LNG) and supplies from Norway. Also Poland did not renew a transit contract that is going to the auction system.
