Russian business has saved hundreds of billions of roubles thanks to lower taxes

Russian enterprises of small and average business was able to save 650 billion roubles thanks to lower taxes and delay on them. This was stated by the Minister of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov at the meeting with President Vladimir Putin on the implementation of measures to support the economy and social sphere, reports TASS.

“The first issue is the granting of deferment of mandatory payments and tax cuts. Thanks to these measures 650 billion — is the money that was left at the business in the form of tax cuts, delays — that helps business this situation to survive and restart”, — said the Minister.

Russian businesses are all sorts of support measures in a pandemic coronavirus. In addition, banks have begun to give the companies interest-free loans for staff salaries, but also gave the SMEs the opportunity to issue credit vacation. In addition, the country canceled more than 200 thousand of routine inspections of business in 2020 and unscheduled inspections must be agreed with the Prosecutor’s office.

Support for entrepreneurs is provided by the national project “Small and medium entrepreneurship”, which is implemented in Russia at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. It involves the increase in the number of employees in small and medium enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs, to 25 million people by the end of 2024, increasing the share of SMEs in GDP to 32 per cent and the share of exports of SMEs — up to 10 percent of the total by 2024. Only the implementation of the project it is planned to allocate more than 481 billion.
