During the heat to quench their thirst by water of room temperature without sugar and without gas. This advice the Russians gave the chief freelance nutritionist MoH Victor tutelian, the radio station “Moscow speaking”.
“All the southern countries and Central Asia [during heat] drinking hot tea. (…) Say that better warm water quenches thirst and it is more useful because it will not provoke a sore throat and so on. (…) I am against soft drinks because there’s a lot of sugar, so better just have water,” said the nutritionist.
Earlier in Moscow declared a storm warning due to the extreme heat. Soon the temperature can reach 31 degrees. According to scientific Director of the hydrometeorological center Roman Vilfand, storm warning is always issued in Moscow in coordination with the MOE at a temperature of over 30 degrees, because it affects the most people.
June 15, Vilfand said that this week the residents of the Moscow region expects a new wave of heat, which will negatively affect the health of some individuals and can be dangerous for the elderly. According to him, the atmospheric pressure will be above normal, weather — partly cloudy with light wind. It will be affected by the approach of the summer solstice during which the sun’s rays become more intense.
