Pandemic coronavirus led to massive proliferation of remote work, this area requires a legislative response, said the head of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Andrey Klishas. It is reported by TASS on Tuesday, June 16.
According to him, introduced on Tuesday in the state Duma the relevant draft law “concept is supported” in the upper house.
The Senator expressed the opinion that the bill will contribute to the development of labour relations in a changing world.
The bill was introduced by a group of deputies and senators, headed by the presidents of the chambers of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko and Vyacheslav Volodin. In particular, the document establishes the possibility of compensation costs for remote workers, including those associated with the purchase of equipment. The authors also propose to allow to engage on remote in the mail and to secure for employees the right to be offline.
Volodin said that the remote format will be increasingly used and the need to ensure that the rights of such employees.
