The grandson of the 93-year-old veteran of Ignat Artemenko Igor Kolesnikov thanked the investigating authorities after the criminal libel case against Alexei Navalny. He stated to RIA Novosti.

“I can only Express my gratitude to all those who gave us support, help in restoring justice,” he said. Kolesnikov added that “the investigating authorities will understand and evaluate the statements of” blogger.

Earlier, Kolesnikov told me that his grandfather became ill with heart, when he learned about the insults in his address.

Navalny is suspected that he has published along with the video of the veteran of the amendments to the Constitution review containing false information discrediting the honor and dignity Artemenko. “As believes a consequence, Bulk thus pursued the aim of spreading slander among a wide range of people”, — concluded the Investigative Committee.

The sanction of part 2 of article 128 of the criminal code of Russia, according to which, a criminal case, provides for a penalty of a fine in the amount up to one million rubles or wage convicted of a period of one year, or obligatory works for the term up to 240 hours.
