In the state Duma a draft law on the regulation of remote employment, which establishes the norms of working time and rest remote workers. The document was published in electronic database of the lower house of Parliament.
The initiative complements and details the provisions of Chapter 49.1 of the Labor code (LC) of the Russian Federation.
The document establishes the possibility of compensation of expenses for remote workers, including those associated with the purchase of equipment. The authors also propose to allow to engage on remote in the mail.
The bill reglamentary three types of remote busy: remote (remote) job, temporary, remote (remote) work and combination work. Under the first refers to the implementation of the labour functions outside of the location of the employer.
Under the project, the parties will be able to set a schedule, temporary telecommuting. However, in priority order, temporary remote work in a simplified manner in the presence of such possibility is offered to transfer pregnant women, employees with children under the age of 14 years, the disabled and pensioners.
The document also introduces the concept of a combined work when an employee part-time performs tasks from home, and the hospital workplace. Within the prescribed period of time the employee has the right not to respond to letters and phone calls from the employer.
“The adoption of the amendments to the Labour code of the Russian Federation will promote development of relations between workers and employers in the changing world legislate their new rights and obligations”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.
