The desire of the Russian policy of Mikhail Gorbachev to give the Karelia part of Finland, in “Gorbachev-Fund” called a lie. On Wednesday, 17 June, said the head of the press service of the Fund Pavel Palazhchenko, reports RIA Novosti.

According to him, the statement by Finnish diplomat with reference to the readiness of the USSR in the 1980s to begin negotiations on this issue is false. “Nothing like this, nothing like this could not be, was never discussed. It is an invention of irresponsible people,” said Palazhchenko.
