The head of Rostourism Zarina doguzova proposed to make e-visa to Russia free of charge. This and other measures to restore the tourism industry in the country, she announced in an interview owned by Grigory Berezkin publication RBC.
According to Doguzova, due to the current situation in Russia, there is a need to take nonstandard decisions and to put forward “bold ideas”. Among them, in particular, she mentioned the idea of giving away free e-visas to foreigners all the year 2021.
“God willing, by the end of next year we these losses will catch up. It will need very rapidly to grow”, — stressed the head of Department.
In addition, doguzova noted that the authorities do not plan in the future to forbid Russians to travel abroad after the improvement of the epidemiological situation. “Neither we nor the user countries are not going to artificially limit the travel of our citizens abroad”, — she concluded.
In may, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova evaluated the possibility of introduction of exit visas in the country, the radio station “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. She stressed that the issue of introduction of exit visas is not discussed. “Not the business of the state to dictate to people how and what to form as habits,” she said.
