Russian sailors arrested in Busan for drug smuggling

Four Russian sailors detained in Busan, South Korea for smuggling drugs. This was reported in the security service of the port, reports Newsis.

Reportedly, the Russians tried to bring hashish into the territory of South Korea on the evening of 16 June. To do this, they decided to throw the bag, which was 18.24 grams of the drug, over the fence of the port.

Suspicious actions of sailors, the security officers noticed the cameras. In the first on the spot was arrested a 34-year-old man, and then after a chase and three of his accomplices. It is noted that all four were transferred for further proceedings to customs.

It is noted that at the end of January in Busan, two Russian sailors were arrested while trying to smuggle across the border 1.8 grams of marijuana.

In February, the African court of Guinea-Bissau recognized the Russian sailors convicted of smuggling 9.5 tons of cocaine. They were arrested in February 2019.
