South Korea has promised a tough response to military provocations by North Korea and attempts to destabilize the situation on the Korean Peninsula. This was announced in Seoul at a briefing for journalists the representative of the chiefs of the country, the Jung Dong Jin. His words leads TASS.
“The North will pay a heavy price if we start fighting”, — he stressed. Jin also noted that the South Korean armed forces are conducting round the clock surveillance over the actions of the DPRK and are ready to instantly react to any provocation.
Earlier it was reported that North Korea is once again going to send troops into the demilitarized zone on the border with South Korea.
About the explosion near the border became known on the morning of June 16. It happened shortly after the news about the plans of the DPRK to deploy troops in the demilitarized border region: the North Korean authorities intended to strengthen the border with its southern neighbors.
