President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will miss the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, which will be held in Moscow on June 24. This was reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani leader, reports Haqqin.az.
In a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Aliyev expressed regret that cannot attend the parade because of the extension of quarantine measures in Azerbaijan. The Republic will be represented by the Minister of defence and 75 soldiers. Putin said that understands the situation.
Victory parade in Moscow was held on 9 may, but was postponed because of the pandemic coronavirus. His arrival confirmed the heads of 12 States, including Kazakhstan, Serbia, Moldova.
In some regions the parade was cancelled because of the pandemic. The Kremlin said that such decisions are in the competence of local authorities.
