The Chairman of the Board of Directors and majority owner of the Indian company Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani entered the top ten world’s richest people according to Forbes. He is the only billionaire from Asia to the current list. The list is published on the newspaper’s website.
Ambani took the ninth position, ahead of Google co-founder Larry page. His fortune is estimated at 64.6 billion.
He was in the top ten world’s richest people after a fortune of 3.9 billion dollars per day. June 19, Reliance Industries announced the sale of its 24.7 percent stake in Jio service, providing a 4G connection, in the amount of 15.2 billion dollars. Shares of Reliance Industries rose more than 6 percent for the day and almost two times since March.
First place in the rating was left for the Creator of Amazon Jeff Bezosa (160 billion dollars), in second place — one of the founders of Microsoft bill gates (of 108.6 billion) and CEO of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, Bernard Arnault (102,8 billion).
Ambani was declared the richest person of India according to Forbes in 2019.
