The U.S. government is committed to ensure that a former aide to President Donald trump on national security John Bolton could not receive the income from the sale of copies of his controversial book. This is stated in the statement by the press Secretary of the White house kaylie Makineni, reports TASS.
“That he had not received income from their shameful decision to put his thirst for money and attention above commitments to protect national security,” said Makineni. However, she noted that the court allowed to publish a book only because copies had already spread.
The press Secretary also drew attention to the recognition by the court that Bolton “jeopardize” the national security of the United States.
Earlier, senior judge, U.S. district court for the district of Columbia Royce Lamberth ruled that the book of Bolton, which caused outrage from the White house, may be published. According to Lambert, the U.S. government could not determine that the court order banning the publication of the controversial book will prevent irreparable damage. However, a Federal judge said that the Bolton may incur administrative and possibly criminal liability, since it jeopardizes the national security of the United States.
In his memoirs, in particular, describes the details of trump’s negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN, about the White house policy towards Ukraine and the alleged request of the American President to Chinese President XI Jinping to help him get re-elected this year. The author of John Bolton, a former adviser to the President for homeland security, was dismissed from the American administration in September 2019, then trump said that he and many members of his team disagree with many of the policy proposals.
