CSKA coach wanted to resign after the defeat from “Zenith”

The head coach of CSKA Moscow Viktor Goncharenko wanted to leave his post after the defeat from Petersburg “Zenith” in a match of 23 th round of Tinkoff, the Russian Premier League (RPL). Reports about it “CHempionata”.

Clarifies that the specialist has already announced his decision to the players and wrote a statement about the resignation. The management of CSKA is going to persuade the coach to stay until the end of the season 2019/2020.

On 20 June in Moscow CSKA lost with 0:4. The winners scored a double Brazilian midfielder Malcolm, goal was scored by Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic and the Argentine striker Sebastian Driussi.

Later it was reported that Goncharenko felt bad after the match. The coach’s blood pressure rose, because of what he could not give a post-match interview.

43-year-old Goncharenko headed CSKA in 2016. Along with the red-blue he twice became the silver medalist, and won the Supercup of Russia.
