The Russians talked about their vacation plans amid the pandemic coronavirus. About it writes RIA Novosti with reference to the study Biletix.
The vast majority of population (87 percent) going to resume travel in the second half of 2020. About 65 percent said that they are ready to go on vacation, 20 percent reported that they wanted to visit family and friends. Another 7 percent of Russians told about the plans to go d business. The most popular destinations to travel to Sochi, Simferopol, Mineralnye Vody, Barcelona and Kaliningrad.
According to analysts, the pandemic coronavirus have little effect on the preferences of Russians on the format of travel. So, 80 percent reported that they are not going to reduce the duration of the trip, 90% still believe the plane is the most comfortable mode of transport for travel.
In Biletix noted that the recovery of demand for travel in Russia is developing fast. Experts had expected sales of tickets for planes and trains will be restored to 50 percent of the level in 2019 only by the end of 2020. However, by July the volume of sales of tickets has already recovered to 25 percent, and rail — to 23 percent.
