The Ministry of energy of Russia called fair price for oil. According to authorities, it is in the range from 40 to 50 dollars per barrel. About it RIA Novosti reported, citing an interview with Deputy Minister of energy Pavel Sorokin the journal “Neftegazovaya Vertikal”.

According to him, the price of raw materials is below $ 20 per barrel is speculative. After a strong fall in prices, which occurred in the spring of 2020, the market was watching whether the manufacturer to pump the same volume of oil at the new price. “Obviously, she can’t. And it is obvious that this price is below the fair” — said Sorokin.

Earlier, energy Minister Alexander Novak said that current oil prices at around 40 dollars per barrel objectively reflect the situation on the global market. Prior to that, he noted that for Russia the comfortable price is the price of oil around $ 50 per barrel.

Monday, June 22, August futures for Brent crude during trading on London stock exchange ICE reached 42,52 dollars per barrel. July contracts on the American WTI raw materials rose to 40.17 USD.
