Russian doctors arrived in Armenia to combat coronavirus

The first group of Russian doctors has arrived in Armenia to combat the pandemic coronavirus. It is reported by Sputnik Armenia.

Eight professionals were delivered a special Charter flight on Sunday evening, June 21. They brought medical equipment and personal protective equipment.

The Ministry of health of Armenia reported that only fly about 50 Russian doctors. The next group is expected in early July.

In the Republic there arrived physicians from France and Lithuania to assist local doctors in the fight against coronavirus.

According to the latest data, in Armenia contracted the coronavirus 20588 people since the beginning of the pandemic died of 360 patients.

In early June, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called the catastrophic situation in the country due to massive non-compliance with anti-epidemic norms. “Hospitals are nearly there. Soon they will not quite, because the day this pace of growth cannot be stopped”, — he said.
