The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic wanted to quickly join the European Union after the victory in the parliamentary elections his Serbian progressive party (SNS). It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We need to accelerate our European path. Needs to make additional reforms,” — said the head of state. He stressed that his country “will not suck up to whom there is a claim”. Vucic also urged to keep the friends that helped in the fight against the pandemic coronavirus.
According to preliminary data, SPP receives more than 63 percent of the votes, in second place the socialist party of Serbia — she’s about 11 percent.
Since March 2012, Serbia is a candidate for accession to the EU. The main conditions of accession to the Alliance called for a series of economic reforms, changes in the area of strengthening the rule of law, the development of an independent judiciary, the protection of freedom of speech and the normalization of relations with Kosovo.
