Two defendants in the case “Network” was sentenced to 7 and 5.5 years in prison

In St. Petersburg, 2-nd Western district military court sentenced the two accused in the case on participation in the community Network, which was recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.4 of the criminal code), reports TASS.

25-year-old Victor Filinkov got 7 years in a General regime colony, a 28-year-old Julius Boyarshinov — 5 years and six months in the colony.

On 17 June, the Prosecutor requested for Filinkova 9 years of imprisonment for Bojarshinova — 6 years. Filinkov said that he gave testimony under pressure and not guilty, Boyarshinov admitted guilt completely.

In October 2017, against 11 activists, anti-fascists from Penza and St. Petersburg brought the case on the creation of a terrorist group and intent to undermine state sovereignty. According to the FSB, they were planning riots and bombings across the country. The defendants Ilya Sikorski, Dmitry Pchelintsev, Igor Shishkin, Arman sagimbaev and Victor Filinkov said that confessed under torture.
