Tour operator Nika, who was considered one of the oldest in Russia, announced about the termination of activity due to pandemic coronavirus. This was reported on the website of the company.
“Pandemic coronavirus infection, the impossibility of making tourist trips (…), the uncertainty of the ability to travel in the future and, most importantly, the reluctance of the insurance company OSAO “Ingosstrakh” to renew an existing contract of insurance of responsibility of tour operator in the field of international outbound tourism has led to the fact that we are forced to suspend their activities”, — stated in the message.
As noted, in the coming days will be discontinued operation of the company’s office in Moscow, the office of the company in St. Petersburg will continue remote work to resolve the outstanding issues with customers.
Tour operator Nika worked in the Russian travel industry for over 27 years. The company was engaged in the organization of cruises, including in Europe, Africa and America, as well as complex combined tours on the rivers of Siberia and the Far East.
Earlier it was reported that in the crisis associated with the pandemic, went bankrupt one of the largest companies in the world for rental cars. Hertz Global Holdings and several of its subsidiaries in the U.S. and Canada, has voluntarily filed a petition for reorganization.
