The best Russian University according to Forbes first recognized by the national research University “Higher school of Economics” (NRU “HSE”). The second line of the rating took the Moscow state University named after Lomonosov (MSU), the third — Moscow Institute of physics and technology (MIPT). The rating is published on the newspaper’s website on Tuesday, June 23.
From universities outside of Moscow, showed the best result of the Ural Federal University (Urfu) — he was fourth in the ranking of Forbes. In fifth place is the national research nuclear University “MEPhI”. The ten best universities also entered the Moscow state University named after Bauman and Russian Academy of national economy and public administration under the President of Russia (Ranepa).
It is noted that in this year’s Forbes when calculating the ratings started to take into account the wage level of employees of higher education institutions, share of foreign teachers in the state and the organization of foreign internships and joint programs of double diplomas with foreign educational institutions. In addition, the publication changed its attitude to the metric, which reflects the elitism of the University to employers.
“The change in methodology resulted in a major reshuffle in the ranking compared to last year. This year the rating was headed by the Higher school of Economics. MSU soared to second place, largely due to the fact that received the highest scores from employers”, — says the publication.
Previously, the first among Russian universities became the Lomonosov Moscow state University, which was ranked 74th place in the ranking of the best universities in the world by Quacquarelli Symonds. Last year Moscow University was on the 84th place. Since 2014 the University has risen in the list of 46 points and entered the top 75 in the world.
