More than a million Russian students have applied for participation in the contest “Big break” – the project of the presidential platform “Russia – country of opportunities”. This was reported on the website of the platform.
Applications for the contest will be taken until 23:59 Moscow time on June 23.

According to Komissarova, applications for the contest are received from all regions of the country. “Most of the applications for participation in competition arrived from the Krasnodar region, Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Rostov region, the Republic of Dagestan, Moscow, the Kemerovo region, Stavropol territory, Sverdlovsk and Tyumen regions,” he added.
The contest started on March 28, 2020. This is the first large-scale project for pupils of 8-10 classes, whose main goal is to give an opportunity for each teenager to find their strengths and Express themselves. His next step will be the solving of case problems. After that, participants will head to the tournament — the 18 face-to-face semi-finals will be held in all Federal districts. The final competition will be held in October this year in Moscow.
In the semi-finals of the competition will be 6000 students, finalists will be 1200 people, and the winners – 300 students in grades 8-9 and 10 300-graders. Students in grade 10 will receive a prize of 1 million rubles, which they can send on tuition, and, in case of receipt in the budget Department, for mortgages or business start-up, up to 5 points for a portfolio of achievements for admission to the University. Pupils of 8-9 classes including amount of 200 thousand rubles. These funds can be spent on further education and acquisition of educational gadgets.
All finalists of the contest (1200 people) will get a trip in “Artek”. The top 20 schools will receive financial support (2 million rubles) to create educational opportunities and technical equipment.
