The former assistant to the President for national security John Bolton explained his resignation in September last year. He told about it in interview to TV channel Fox News.
According to him, the decision was made after the American leader Donald trump proposed the idea to invite representatives of the banned terrorist movement “Taliban” in the country residence camp David for signing so-called agreement for peace in Afghanistan. Bolton said that his resignation he had prepared in advance.
“Gradually, this desire grew stronger and the last straw was the intention of the President trump to invite the Taliban,” he said, noting that he thought such a decision is bad, and believed that the President was the wrong policy.
