The Russians uncovered the rules of sun exposure during a beach holiday. A safe and beautiful tan with “ru” shared the doctor-dermatologist, cosmetologist Ilona Kozyrev.
As the doctor noted, there are three basic rules of tanning: compliance with the safe time interval (only in the morning and evening), use of protective equipment and limitation of time of exposure to the sun.
“You can sunbathe before 11 am and after 16 PM when the sun is less active — you can track the UV index for the smartphone, now it is a popular feature. If he is close to six or seven, it is better to go into the shadows. After 11 am he approaches 11-12, it is dangerous for the skin,” said the beautician.
She added that while on the beach skin needs maximum protection: in the early days it must have funds with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 50 or above, from the third day, you can reduce it to 30 and only 10-11 day when the skin becomes tanned and prepared to put a special oil.
“You can use specialized oils that are presented in different lines in the sun, or a organic oil for example, coconut. But they are applied only when the skin will get dark, will produce melanin in sufficient quantity,” said the doctor.
According to her, special attention should be paid to the face, neck, hands and décolleté: this part of the body is better protected from sun to avoid aging.
“They should always use maximum photoprotection with SPF 50 because the sun damaged skin becomes flabby, and it is then difficult cosmetic treatment. It is better to try not to tan the face and use bronzers to skin seemed darker,” said Kozyrev.
According to her, a violation of the rules of the sun not only causes skin aging, but also increases the risk of developing cancer. Because the exposure to the sun should be taken responsibly.
Earlier, the doctor gave recommendations to the people who received burns during the sun. The specialist advised to use pharmacy drugs, noting that “the meds from the fridge” is useless in this case.
