The presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko during the Victory parade on 24 June had the opportunity to briefly talk, said the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov. It was quoted by RIA Novosti on Thursday, June 25.

“They will continue the dialogue. They communicate often and meaningful”, he added.

Eve media wrote that the Belarusian leader stayed away during communication of Vladimir Putin to attend the Victory parade in Moscow by the heads of state. Meanwhile in the stands the President of Belarus was sitting not far from the Russian colleagues.

After the event, Vladimir Putin invited Alexander Lukashenko at the opening of the monument to Soviet soldiers near Rzhev, which will take place June 30.

Lukashenko arrived in Moscow the evening of 23 June. Their participation in the festivities he confirmed during a telephone conversation with Putin on June 19.
