Hotels and resorts on the Russian resorts, despite the formal resumption of the tourist season, was not ready to receive customers due to the new requirements of the CPS, presented on the background of the pandemic coronavirus. This is with reference to the data of “OPORA Russia”, writes “Kommersant”.
As specifies the edition, in Sochi now boasts 20 of the 65 health centres in Tatarstan — two out of 50 in the Caucasian Mineral Waters — six out of 120, in General, the Krasnodar territory and 90 operate over 200 facilities in the Stavropol territory — 30 of 124. In the Crimea, readiness to receive guests confirmed only half of the hotels.
Experts explain that this situation stems from the need to comply with new safety standards — in particular, the hoteliers have difficulty purchasing equipment, carrying out mass testing for the presence COVID-19 and the recruitment of new staff.
It is known that about 10-30 percent of the units in the current season may not open. “It’s small and medium-sized hotels, large businesses have managed to survive the crisis,” — said the General Director of tour operator “Dolphin” Sergey Romashkin. The result is not excluded that there will be a reorientation of tourists in accommodation in the private sector, said Vice-President “Support of Russia” Alexey Kozhevnikov.
In Rospotrebnadzor “Kommersant” said that the recommendations repeatedly adjusted at the request of business and tourism.
On 1 June it was reported that the new requirements of the tourists questioned the opening of many hotels in Sochi. Of the resorts, planned to open in early summer, are unable to do this due to the high financial costs that would entail implementation of the recommendations of the CPS.
Safe and controlled startup of the internal tourism in Russia was held in early June. In the first stage, open the sanatorium with the medical license. Also, the authorities are developing rules to open further hotels, beaches, resorts, cruises and other components of the tourism industry. Full the tourist season will open in Russia on July 1.
